Garden of Faith is the English name of the app. In Dutch, the app is called Gebedstuin. This Privacy Policy applies to both versions of the app.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what
information may be collected when you use Garden of Faith, why we collect
it, how it is used, and how it is stored.
Garden of Faith does not require you to create an account, and we do not
ask you for your name, email address, or other contact details in order to
use the app.
Gebedstuin stores certain information locally on your device to make the app function properly, such as your settings, preferences and progress. We store this information because it is necessary for the app to function properly. This information is not shared with third parties.
Garden of Faith uses PostHog for analytics. Analytics are only collected after you have given your consent. We use analytics to identify which parts of the app are working well and where the app can be improved.

PostHog may process the device's IP address on its servers to determine
approximate location information such as country. We do not store or use
precise location information.
We do not use PostHog to collect text that you enter yourself in the app.
PostHog analytics data is stored in the European Union and is retained for
a maximum of one year.
Garden of Faith provides optional feedback forms directly within the app. You decide whether to submit feedback.
Your feedback can be used to get a better understanding of the impact that the app is making and to improve the app.

The feedback submission does not include text that you have entered elsewhere in the app.
We use Google Forms as the underlying service through which the submitted information is received and stored. The feedback form is part of Garden of Faith and does not require you to open Google Forms yourself.
Feedback submissions are retained for a maximum of three years.
When we communicate about the impact of Garden of Faith, we use only
aggregated information, such as averages or totals, that does not identify
individual users.

When you opt out of analytics, we will delete the analytics data associated with your installation from PostHog rather than retaining it until the normal retention period expires.

Analytics in Garden of Faith are optional. You can choose to opt out of analytics at any time, via the settings menu in the app.
When you choose to opt out, we stop collecting analytics from your installation and a request will be sent to delete the analytics data associated with your randomly generated identifier. The data will then be manually deleted from PostHog within one month.
After opting out, analytics cannot be enabled again on that installation. Your opt-out choice is stored locally on your device.

Garden of Faith is not specifically directed at children. However, children may use the app, for example together with a parent or guardian.
If you believe that a child has submitted personal information through the app, please contact us. We will review the information and take appropriate steps, including deletion where appropriate.
We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this policy.
